In Division Two of the Norfolk Cricket Alliance, Sandringham & Dersingham 1st XI slipped to a 76 run defeat at home to Norwich 2nds. Peter Brassett’s hat-trick of wickets helped restrict the visitors to 167 runs, but the home side’s chase fell well short as they were bowled out in under 28 overs.

Bircham also failed to build on their opening day success as they were convincingly beaten by 105 runs against Beccles. A half century for Robert Preston the pick of the stats.

In Division Three, Snettisham made it two wins from two as they beat visitors Hingham by seven wickets with hat-tricks for Kieran Herbert, Damien Twiddy and Josh Herbert doing the damage as they quickly chased down a humble target of 68 in just under 15 overs.

In Division Four, Thornham 1st XI also kept their 100% record in tact as they were 17 run victors at Mellis in an exciting encounter. Thornham looked to be well on their way after posting 276, with half centuries for Finn Hewson and Adam Rose. However, the home side made a real game of it but fell just 17 runs short in achieving an unlikely run chase. Rose, Chris Burgess and Tom Wallace with a brace of wickets apiece.
