Mayor of King’s Lynn & West Norfolk officially opens upgraded playground in Downham Market
“This project has breathed new life into a space that means a great deal to local families," Cllr Andy Bullen says.
"The upgraded play area is modern, inclusive and designed to be enjoyed by children for many years to come."

It was part‑funded by the UK Government, with £50,000 from the Rural England Prosperity Fund, alongside a £12,500 contribution from the borough council’s play area budget.

“I want to thank residents for their patience while the work was carried out. It is wonderful to see the community already making the most of the new play equipment," the Mayor adds.
“As I near the end of my Mayoral year, it is especially meaningful to open a project in my home town - something that will have a lasting, positive impact on the families of Downham Market.”
