Friday 21st of June saw the Hunstanton Lions Club hold their annual Fun Day where three local children’s groups were provided with free rides at Hunstanton Fairground and then a free lunch at Vegas Fish Bar.
Lion Chris Holt said: “Over 300 special needs children, their teachers, carers and parents from Churchill Park Academy, Little Discoverers and Sheringham Woodfields School took the opportunity to experience all the thrills of the fair, courtesy of the Hunstanton Showmen, who opened their rides for free.”
“It was evident from the laughter and smiles that they all enjoyed the many attractions, many for the first time. After nearly two hours of joy, they were all then treated to a meal of Fish or Sausage and Chips and a welcome drink very kindly supplied by Joe Rodrigues at his Vegas Fish Bar.”
“This has to be one of the highlights of our Lionistic Year.”
The Lions have organised the Fun Day as an annual event for over a decade and is one of their biggest events of the year.
