Sandringham Sawmill is more than just timber! With trees, plants, garden furniture and pots for sale - His Majesty is said to be 'over the moon'
"The King came and he was over the moon," says Tom Chadburn, the assistant sawmill manager, who's showing me the trees and plants now for sale.
"The King himself loves his gardens - trees are his passion, especially some of the dogwood we are selling - he loves them.
"He's very hands on, it's wonderful, and it's very nice for him to come and see this, because it means a lot to us. He is the King at the end of the day, and it's a huge honour to have him here."
Sandringham Sawmill processes British-grown timber from the estate's sustainably managed woodlands, and since 1988 it's been open to the public.
But this is no longer just a sawmill, it's branching out - literally - and now stocks a whole range of trees, plants, and garden furniture.
"It has very much been a sawmill up til now, which is great, but we need to diversify a bit.
"Obviously we have already been selling stuff for gardens - sleepers, fence posts, fence panels - but we've started to go down the route of selling trees, from birch to willow, all the way to small acer trees, and plants as well."
"We've got a huge range of roses, because the Royal Family love the roses.
"But we have everything from lavender to hydrangeas. We're also stocking pots, mainly large decorative pots, we've got some really huge beautiful greek pots."
"We have teak furniture, and some exclusive Royal Sandringham Estate benches, engraved with the new logo and crest.
"The King had a sit down and he really liked it, was a big fan of it. He had a lot to do with the design of the new logo, so loved to see it on a bench."

Tom tells me It's an exciting time for the sawmill - and he's glad to be part of it.
"It's great that people can come here with ideas to do their garden up with fencing, but will now really be able to complete it here, with the plants and trees.
"Even though we're a sawmill, being tied to the Sandringham Estate and the Royal Family, it is an honour."
