Dave Nice is rightly proud of the pumpkin he grew this year.
The keen Northfields allotment holder’s pumpkin weighed in at 56lbs, and Dave said: “It will be soup forever!”
Asked if there was a secret growing method his reply was casual: “No not really, I grew it from a saved seed from last year, started it off in the polytunnel and gave it no TLC whatsoever other than a little water in dry spells.”
