Probus (Professional and Businessmen) Club of King’s Lynn treated to a guided tour of Collison’s Cut Flowers
Members from the club, their wives and friends enjoyed a guided tour of Collison’s Cut Flowers at Terrington St Clement, one of largest producers of cut flowers in the world.
The Collison family's been producing cut flowers in West Norfolk for three generations, specialising in the production of tulips, scented stocks in the glasshouses and asters in the nearby fields.
It produces around 35 million stems a year, and is a long-standing supplier to major supermarkets.
Whilst much of the production is mechanised, the nursery also employs up to 100 members of staff.

After the tour the group were joined by some of the Collison family for a two-course lunch at the nearby Brothers-in-Arms restaurant.
Probus thanks 'the nursery for the most enjoyable, interesting and informative event which was crowned by the family who very generously presented fresh cut tulips and stocks to each member of the group'.
