Small grants scheme open until the end of August

Community organisations across West Norfolk are being encouraged to apply for a new round of grant funding, with £115,000 available. 

Cllr Chris Morley, Cabinet Member for Finance at the Borough Council, says, “These grant schemes are designed to give real, practical support to the groups who make a difference in our communities, from small clubs delivering everyday activities to larger organisations creating long‑term change. 

“We are placing particular emphasis on rural and coastal areas, where investment can have a transformative impact."

Funding is available to charities, constituted voluntary and community groups, social enterprises and community interest companies. 

Grant amounts available:

  • Revenue grants – up to £2,500 for activity or operational costs.
  • Capital grants – up to £10,000 for equipment, building works or refurbishment.
  • Rural grants – an additional £50,000 ring‑fenced for rural and coastal projects.

In total, £115,000 is available:

  • £50,000 for capital grants
  • £15,000 for revenue grants
  • £50,000 for rural applications

The deadline in the 31st of August, a panel will meet in October to review submissions and award funding.
